June 17, 2011 marks the date for the 9th annual Golf for a Cure Tournament. Vale is proud to present this tournament which presents a unique opportunity for volunteers, sponsors, golfers, cancer survivors and the community in general to help raise money to fight cancer.

Volunteers help to organize and present the tournament, giving of themselves. Sponsors donate money, prizes, in kind gifts and their time to help ensure the success of the day. Golfers get to play 18 holes of golf, compete for tournament and hole prizes, and to enjoy each other’s company. Cancer survivors attend and laud the Tournament’s success adding their support. The community helps support the tournament by giving pledge money to golfers to aid in raising money.

All proceeds of the tournament are given to the Sudbury Unit of the Canadian Cancer Society. To date, the tournament has provided $295,000 to the CCS.

The past year has been another tough economic year in Greater Sudbury. We need all the support possible in order to make 2011 the best year yet for our Golf for a Cure Tournament. Thanks in advance for your help!
